Integration

Integrating Connector is easy. All you have to do is add a single <script> tag to the <head> section of all the pages of your website which include paid content. Most CMSes make this as simple as editing a single article template.

That <script> tag loads Connector Script, a lightweight JavaScript app that is embedded into your website and acts as gate keeper for your paid content. Read more about it in chapter Connector Script.

As an example, here’s the source code of a simplified article page that integrates Connector:

<html>
    <head>
        <title>This is a Connector enabled article</title>
        <script type="text/javascript" src="[Connector Script URL goes here]"></script>
    </head>
    <body>
        <!-- Page content... -->
    </body>
</html>

Note, that in the example above “[Connector Script URL goes here]” is a placeholder for the actual Connector Script URL which depends on the region, environment and locale you use. You can find the proper URL(s) for your integration in section URLs of Connector Script.

More details about how and why URLs are put together like this are provided in chapter Regions, Environments and Locales.
