Component Specific Appearance Properties for the AdVantage Overlay

In addition to the Common Appearance Properties, the appearance of the AdVantage Overlay can be customized even further using the following Component Specific Appearance Properties.

Help Button Properties

Show Help Button

The Help Button is an optional button on the left side of the AdVantage Overlay. It allows for a link to a custom user guide on how to deactivate the ad blocker.

The Show Help Button property defines if the Help Button is shown. It defaults to false.

To show the Help Button:

  • Set Show Help Button to true
  • Set Help Button Target to the URL of your custom user guide on how to deactivate the ad blocker

Example:

Note

If the Help Button Target property is not defined, the Help Button will not be shown.

Help Button Color

The Help Button Color allows you to set a custom background color for the Help Button. It overrides the Primary Color, which is used by default.

Example:

This enables the Help Button, sets its link target to http://example.com/user-guide.html and sets its background color to magenta.

Help Button Target

The Help Button Target property defines the link target of the Help Button. It should point to the URL of a custom user guide on how to deactivate the ad blocker.

Example:

This enables the Help Button and sets its link target to http://example.com/user-guide.html.

Other Properties

Background Color

The Background Color property defines a custom background color for the AdVantage Overlay.

Example:

This results in a light grey background color of the AdVantage Overlay.

Hide Borders

The AdVantage Overlay usually has a border around several boxes. This property lets you hide them.

Show Reload Button

The Show Reload Button property defines if a Reload Button is shown, which users can click to conveniently reload the page after having deactivated their ad blocker. It defaults to true.

Example:

This hides the Reload Button.
